Airsoft Apperaten of toch replica of wapen, welke is het nou?

Ik vind de term replica het beste om te gebruiken vooral om de sport positief te kunnen promoten.
Het is inderdaad raar of mieschien ook niet dat mensen in Nederland afshrikken van het woord wapen, je hoort in het nieuws ook al gepraat over nep wapens en het klink gelijk wat slechter in mijn oren dan een airsoft replica/apparaat. Ik wil nog velen jaren van deze sport kunnen genieten en ben al lang blij dat het nu legaal is in Nederland.ik vind dat we zo min mogelijk negative woorden in deze sport moeten gebruiken dus hier past replica of apparaat goed bij in mijn ogen.

Dit is weer zo typisch Nederland , we worden bang van het woord wapen ?ik vind het overdreven en zelfs onjuist , met een wapen in gedachten ben je misschien wel voorzichtiger omdat en apparaat of replica suggereert onschuldig te zijn , niets is minder waar een balletje in je oog en je weet de gevolgen , als je de politie vertelt je hebt een airsoft wapen in je auto is dat veel duidelijker als dat je zegt apparaat , tis een beetje om de hete brei heen draaien vind ik .

They type airsoft device?
No
Airsoft replica?
No
All of us including me type airsoft gun.
Telling people i have airsoft device leading the other person for another question = what device?
Then should say airsoft replica = yet that person have no idea about the airsoft sport
Now again he or she will ask what is airsoft?
Here we reach the first point ( airsoft is a simulation warfare game and this is airsoft gun..etc ..etc)
So why shouldn't tell him/her from the beginning and short the whole story?
Now I am telling you my experience with my neighbors when i told him about this sport..

I don't search for Airsoft Gun. I never use the word ''Gun''. Hell, I don't even associate it with airsoft. Even Gunfire calls it ''Airsoft replica's" when you change the language to American English. The majority in Holland uses Replica, or Apparaat. This is simply put how they want us to call them, and I don't see what the fuss about it really is.

Actually no I don't, I type the model, the brand and then after it I type airsoft, that will give enough hits to shops that sell it or if I just want a general search for a specific model I will leave the brand out of it. "Airsoft gun" is a way to generic term to use in google and being able too find a new replica.

How about checking the new airsoft guns next coming to the market like for exmp (airsoft guns 2016) hummm?

Same here i don't understand why people confusing from call it airsoft gun or replica or device or what ever they find it fit to their language, as i said in my first comment (call it airsoft gun is not violation to the law) with all of that the government websites or the nabv.nl name it airsoft gun as well so nobody is wrong here and no one is right also it's just kind of argument start and lead to the same point..
BTW on the Netherlands website also they call it air soft gun, you can check this website for example https://www.shogun.nl/airsoft.html

@b.samriey On this website they are using it to indicate the difference between rifle and handgun, not to distinguish airsoft guns (airsoft apparaten/replica's) themselves. 'Geweer' translates to gun but in this case it is the Dutch translation of assault rifle whereas 'pistol' is sidearm. Just a small sidenote

Because you got special airsoft news websites for that or special events for them that are mostly covered by airsoft youtube channels.

Guys i just wish you're not miss understand me here like i'm making argument..
My point is %90 of this world call it airsoft gun, in the Netherlands or any other EU country may call it device or replica depend on their language.
Back to the that website he lest the airsoft accessories under (gun accessories) this mean gun is common term use in airsoft even here in the Netherlands.
Rebelattack there is also internet magazine and website cover the new airsoft guns with more details than youtube.

It says gun, not wapen. So i'm satisfied. I don't think the word gun is as harmful as wapen for the Dutch.

You should read my post better I said I read both airsoft news websites and use youtube to get all my information about new replica's.

I'm not seeing any swearing go around, @Foodie88 so all is well
So far I've never heard anyone say "gun" or "geweer" in real life when playing Airsoft so I think it would be limited to a number of websites. Maybe they just think it sounds cooler to use gun, than to use airsoft replica / apparatus / whatever.

I myself will always use replica because I've grown used to it. Thankfully, everyone I know and hold dear also use replica or apparatus so I'm enjoying the company of understanding people.

Samriey, important to note is (as you are doing here) weapon/wapen does not equal gun/geweer and if that second terminology is acceptable is actually a different discussion

Couldn't find anything belong to the real steel parts on that category except airsoft parts but still they name it gun accessories?
